2 Year Old Child Has Fever. On Zentel. Drinks Milk Only. What To Do?
hello doctor , my kid is 2 years and one month old and i was advised to give zentel, and i gave last night single dosage 20ml mix with milk, now i fell he suffering from fever . now he sleeping and hi body is too hot Dr, could you please advise me what should i have to do, is any problem .also he doesnt take food at all drinks milk alone.

Thank you for your query,
The dose of zentel is 10ml in a child of 2 years and one month old child.
Fever may be due a virus.
For fever you can give paracetamol suspension in prescribed dosage.
If fever is high give tepid sponging with lukewarm water.
Try to give plenty of oral fluids, juices and ORS.
Consult your Pediatrician for the examination to look for the focus of infection and treatment.

Give acetaminophen as per dose 15 mg/kg 6 hourly.
Do sponging with tepid water.
Give plenty of fluids,fruit juices,vegetable soup and milk.
Do not force him to eat,his appetite will come back slowly.
In case symptoms persist get him evaluated by pediatrician for further management.
