hello and thankyou for the query.
Drooling of saliva may be due to severe
tonsillitis as the child cant swallow due to throat pain.It may be due to inflammation in the mouth mucous membranes. However, there are more serious causes like seizures. If your child is oriented and able to answer questions relevantly while he has it, then it may not be a seizure.Children less than 6 years are prone sometimes, for
fever induced seizures and thats why i raised that doubt. If you are concerned about this and not sure of the cause, kindly take him to the doctor again.
Meanwhile,as you are waiting for the report, give plenty of liquids to drink, keep the fever down by giving
paracetamol 125 mg every 5 hours to control the fever and continue sponging if the fever becomes very high. keep the child with you under observation at all times. If you feel the child's fever is worsening or that you are unable to manage, kindly take him to the hospital.
hope your child recovers soon.
Take care.
bye
