2.5 Year Girl, Suffering From Throat Infection, Fever, Blood During Vomiting. What Could Be This?
hi doc,
my two year and half year old baby girl is sick since monday throat infection and high fever and bad cough, today when she vomit dark brown blood i see in her vomiting and again she did in afternoon again i saw dar brown colour blood in her vomiting. is something serious wit my baby do i need to take her to the emergency.

Your child has bad throat infection associated bad cough and fever and most important is having dark brown vomiting.This is definitely suggestive of acute infection of respiratory tract and associated erosive gastritis which could be due to infection or due to medicine given empty stomach.
In this situation along with antibiotics ,ant acid with anti-emetic drugs are required . Care under experts supervision in hospital is better for your child.You must see an expert for investigations and better treatment to avoid any emergency.All the best and take care.
