3 Month Baby, Blood In Stool Fine, Suffering From Coli And Reflex Like Symptoms. Suggested X Ray, Why X Ray?

Hi
My 3 month old niece has been admitted to hospital after being told by an emergency clinic that blood in her stools was 'Fine' so my sister took her to the hospital where they will be running tests and an xray. Just wondering why the xray? she is fully breastfead and has been struggling with coli and reflux like syptoms since birth. Concerned for baby!

I agree with you that in normal circumstances, a colic would not warrant an x ray. You should ask her doctors about this. Perhaps they felt it was not a simple evening colic but something else.
