3 Months Old With A Hard Lump On The Rib Cage. No Pain. Should I Be Worried?

I just noticed a hard lump on my baby s left rib cage, high up, possibly on the breast bone. It is toward his side slightly left and lower to his nipple . I never noticed it before. He is 3 months old. It doesn t seem to hurt him when I touch it. It worries me because it s not the same on the other side. It almost feels bony to me.

Hi
This may be due to some extra bone growth from ribs or sternum . Nothing to worry but consult your doctor to diagnose it and for the proper advise.
