3 Weeks Old Sneezes , Coughs With A Wheezy Sound. Dr. Prescribed Mucolite Drops For Throat Infection. Is This Ok ?

Hi .... m ydaughter is 3 weeks old. She sneezes and coughs sometimes followed by wheezing sound. Otherwise she sleeps (no wheezing) well and feeds. No fever etc .... Ped says she has throat infection and no chest infection/cough. He has prescribed Mucolite drops. Is the diagnosis and prescription ok ? How long should we watch her . and what signs of improvement/worsening should we notice.. before we again to take her the ped?

Thanks for query.
It seems that your daughter is having allergic rhinitis.
As there is no fever,viral or bacterial infection may not be there.
Continue with the medicine prescribed still for 2-3 days.
Meanwhile if she gets fever or cough then consult pediatrician.
