Hello,
As described by you there is a swelling over back of your child ageing 3 yrs which was disappeared, from it has been seen first noticed and re appeared after falling your child again and which is gradually reducing and again becomes larger and hard also. But now its painful and hardened too. Here I can say, it might be a haematocoel (i.e.collection of blood due to fall of child ) or might be a fluid collection. But orthopedic surgeon found nothing in this swelling.
Therefore it is my suggestion for you to get thorough check up of your child for any infection in the area by proper scanning with MRI Proper X-Rays and with all basic investigations in favor of the too small baby at this time of age of your child. In the mean time you continue with some anti- inflamatory and symtomatic treatment by giving the child Ibuprofen+Paracetamol syp. along with local application thrombolytic and anasthetic cream to local area of child. Hope you will have guidance and support by this advice.Good Luck and Take care.
