3 Year Son, Fever, Rash All Over Body, Headache, Stomach Pain. Taking Medication. Anything To Worry?

Hi, My 3yr old son has not been well for the past 5 days. I thought he just had a flu, but become concerned that it mind be more than that when he woke the other night with a high temp of 39. I gave him children\'s nurofen for the next 48 hrs which helped reduce his temp. But now he have come up with a spotting rash all over his body, mainly on his face & arms, he also complains of headaches & tummy pains occasionally. During this time he has still been active, eating well, & drinking plenty of fluids. Though he is much better now, I am curious/concerned this may be more than just a cold/flu?

Thanks for the question. Based on your history, the features suggestive of viral illness like dengue fever in which rash appears after fever comes down. So don't ignore the symptoms and please contact your paediatrician as early. After examination if doctor says everything is fine then need not worry.
