3 Year Son, Speech Problem, Talks And Answers At His Own Will, Otherwise Active. Recommendations?

Hello doc, my son is going to turn three. He is a very playful child imam little concerned abt his speech .he answers to my questions at his own will. He dose not tells me yet about his play school activities .otherwise he is doing fine is able to solve puzzles, matching , sorting on I pad. Pls suggest me should I be concerned abt it .

Dear user,

At best, he seems to be a normal toddler with his own personality. At worst, he may be asocial, or suffering from a dysfunctional brain disorder not unlike autism. I mean, not the full blown picture of autism but related to it. Related disorders may have just a few of the features of autism such as the inclination to not speak, or the need to be alone, to play alone and to not socialize. Please take him to a developmental pediatrician for a proper evaluation.
