4 Week Old Son, Suffering From Intestinal Gas, Pain During Bowel Movement. Can I Try Biogaia Probiotic? Suggestions?
Hi there My son is 4 weeks old and has bad intestinal gas to the point you can hear it! He does pass alot of gas a has bowel movements twice a day. He is in alot of pain when he does do a bowel movement. I would like to try Biogaia probiotic as many recommend. Will this make him any worse? I have him currently on Goodstart formula and use Oval drops in his bottles which helps a bit. Thanks!

If he is experiencing such bad gas, it is possible that he is not tolerating the milk that he is using now.
This is one of the indicators that a particular formula does not agree with the baby.
You should consider changing it to see if his symptoms decrease.
In terms of the biogaia, the recommended daily dose is 5 drops a day.
