4 Year Old, Frequent Sneezing, Running Nose, Cough. Medication Causing Temporary Relief. Will This Go When Child Gets Older?
Hi, My 4 year old son is sneezing 4-5 times every morning, ending up with a running nose and sometimes the nasal drip will cause a bad cough.
We have been to doc, TCM, TCM nose spa and all just eliminates the symptoms and the sneezing will still surface after a while.
We had tried to keep our environment VERY clean by vacuuming & mopping daily with anti dustmite mattress cover.
I would like to ask if the usual medication only temporary remove the symptoms and there isn't any permanent solution to this. Does it usually goes away when the child gets older ?
Hello, thanks for writing to HCM, I have read your question, sneezing and nasal drip could be symptoms for common cold or an allergic reaction, since you said your child is four years old the children at this age are usually prone to such problems since the immunity is just building up, since you said that you have already shown to a doctor I think the medication they gave would work well ahead and eventually your son would build build up immunity, I suggest you to continue using the medicine for three days and see that if there is any reduction in the symptoms, if not I suggest you to consult a general physician nearby and state all the medical history for further medication.
