Hi I have a 4 year old nephew who for the last month has been ill with cold and coughs he has been to hospittal and doctors and they have gave him antibiotics , but for the last week his temperature has been dropping to arround 33 c only at nights but he s been sweating at the same time , then tonight he s gone reaally limp and startied being sick , the ambulance driver said he should probber ly go to the childrens hospital in biringham , as he has only been goin to worcester , who we really are not satisfied with
I can understand your concern at the condition of your nephew. It is difficult to provide you with the causes of such a situation/condition, however, it is not uncommon for children to have complications following a bout of upper respiratory tract infection. Though he may have received antibiotics but the organism need not be sensitive to it. A detailed workup, both clinical and investigative, will suggest the possible cause of such a condition. You are doing the right thing by getting him hospitalized where all the work-up shall be done.
I hope I have answered your query to your satisfaction.
Wishing your nephew an early recovery.
Regards,
RKK
