42 Years. Continuous Heavy Flow Of Periods For Months. History Of Irregualar Periods With Missed Periods For Many Months. Advice

Hi Dr. Greif,
You can call me JV, I am 42yrs old. I Since I Start having a period I already irregular, Sometime It happened to me thati don't have a period for several months. . I wasn't worry during those time. BUT WHEN I REACHED my 42y/o I start having a heavy flow Period and it doesn't stop until now. I always have period for more than 5 to 6 months now ?
I never go and see a doctor what is in my mind is since during the time of being irregular. All the unnesssary blood that suppose to discharge during my period, and because of my irregularity, those blood stay inside and now my body start cleaning my system.

It seems u have had irregular cycles for long but not evaluated . but in this age group since u have continous bleeding it is better to evaluate. do an usg pelvis look for any pathology of uterus like fibroids , adenomyosis , endometrial thickness.
