5 Month Baby, Vomiting Brown Color Stuff With Sharp Smell. Taking Zanax Medicine. Diagnosed As Reflux. Should I Meet Specialist?
My 5 months old baby vomits brown color with sharp smell. This happened four times in the past three weeks. but now it started to happen daily. he is taking Zantac medicine. I took him to the doctor and they said its blood because of reflux and they said I have to make him an appointment with a specialist. My appointment is after four days. But he started to vomit the brown thing now every day for three days and I am really worried. Do I have to wait for my appointment or shall I hurry up to the emergency again.

Brown color vomitus is suggestive of bleedingbin thevupper partvof gut which is seen with severe reflux.
Anti reflux medication such domperidone or metoclopramide and lansoprazole has to be given to the child.
I advise you to consult emergency for further evaluation.
