Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi
Moderate brain atrophy is a MRI or CT Scan Brain finding and it is most probably due to perinatal asphyxia with hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy. What is the clinical condition and the clinical problems of the child? How are his mental status, motor system and developmental milestones? Are there any seizures associated? These parameters will decide the type of treatment and usually includes multidisciplinary team including Pediatrician, neurologist, Physiotherapist and Occupational therapist and Psychiatrist.
