6 Year Old, Pain In Cheeks, Recovering From Andenoidtonsillectomy. Taking Morphine. Normal? When To Reduce Dosage?

my 6 yr old is on day 7 of recovery after an adenoidtonsillectomy..but the last two days is complaining of pain in cheeks. i''ve been giving the prescribed morphine , but wondering if cheek pain is normal at this point in recovery? also want to know when I can lessen/stop medication or do I keep giving every 4/6hours for the next week?

pain is unusual after so many days.
Morphine is a very powerful drug it should be used only when required.
Use paracetamol instead.
