6 Year Old With Fever, Joint Pain And Runny Nose. Has Allergy, Asthma And Kawasaki Disease
My 6 year old daughter has had a fever for 3 days and it has been accompanied by headache, joint pain, and now runny and stuffy nose, (like with allergies ) which she has. The highest fever has been is 103. I have given her tylenol and ibprofen and fever will not go down. She has allergies, asthma , and has had Kawasaki disease which scares me.
As your daughter is running fever for the past 3 days she warrants a detailed examination by the doctor to confirm the upper respiratory tract infection and gets the proper treatment. As she has asthma and had Kawasaki syndrome she needs to be under medical supervision.
I hope I have answered your query to your satisfaction.
Hi
Thanks for your query,
As your child is having fever for 3 days and she is having asthma and kawasaki disease as well.
I suggest you to get her examined by pediatrician for proper management. She may need some basic investigations like CBC,CRP,x ray chest.
In the meantime give tylenol as per dosage, give plenty of fluids,do tepid sponging in case fever rises .
Wishing your child good health.
God bless.
