7 Weeks Old. White Coating, Black Spots On Tongue. Breastfeeding And Giving Soy Formula. Treatment?

Hello, my name is Holly. My 7 week y/o son has a white coating on his tongue . I talked to his doctor about this which has been present since almost day one and he was not concerned which settles fine with me. However, he has dark blue/black spots on his tongue as well. I noticed a single blue spot awhile ago but didn t think much of it, but now there are many more I noticed tonight. I breastfeed and have also been supplementing with soy formula since our little one has jaundice . Do you know what the dark spots could be and how to treat them?

Pediatrician 's  Response
this spots may be normal for your baby. but he may be having any form of bleeding or coagulation problems. so investigations should be done to rule out these possibilities.
