7 Year Kid, Black Spot On Bottom Of Foot. What Could Be This?

My son has developed a black spot on the bottom of his foot. It is almost perfectly round. I have no idea how long it has been there because that is not somewhere I usually look. He is 7 and this spot is bigger than the tip of a pencil but not as big as an eraser. I took him to the dr and she said it was nothing to worry about but still I wonder what it could be?

I understand your concern. If the presence of this black spot is very concerning, I recommend that you get your son to a family doctor or a surgeon who can surgically excise the lesion and send it for pathology, to know what it really is. This will probably help relieve your anxiety. The procedure itself is a 5-10 minute procedure and you should not be concerned about it. You will know for sure what the problem is. I hope this works.
