Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 7y/o son has been complaining of leg pain off and on all his life. We thought it was just 'growing pains'? At his last pediatrician appointment I told the Dr. and asked for an x-ray. A couple days later the Dr. Called back and said he needs to be seen by an orthopedic surgeon and that his lower tibia area (where he says it hurts) where it meets his foot looks "not normal"? we have an appointment with the specialist on June 3rd but I am going crazy with worry...what could it be? The Dr. Said it 'doesn't look like a fracture, it just doesn't look normal and he needs to be seen by a specialist' that is all I know. Any help would be great. I have noticed that the more active he is (jumping off our fireplace and when he did cross country at school, and when we were on vacation walking all around) he complains of pain more often, so I know it is hurting him.
