8 days late, Negative HPT results, tiny spotting last 24hrs... whats going on? Hi, I'm now 8 days late on my period. I've done 2 HPT's and both were negative. In the last 24hrs i've started spotting, for about 5 mins and then it stops... happened about 4 times now. Very bizarre. Whats happening?

Hi.. Home pregnancy test can give false reports especially, if you are no oral contraceptive pills.. Consult a gynaecologist to determine if you are actually pregnant or if there are other cause that could explain this phenomena..

Delayed periods with a negative pregnancy test can happen due to mild hormonal imbalances, anxiety, change in dietary habits, anemia , etc. Since you are already having mild intermittent spotting, you need to wait for 2-3 days for your periods to start spontaneously. If that does not happen then consult your gynecologist for further investigations and treatnment.
