8 Month Old Child, Rashes On Body After Changing Food. Diet Suggestions?

We switched our 6 month old son from nestle nan 1 to nan 2 and noticed rashes appear all over his body. So we quickly went back to giving him nan 1 again. He is now 8 months old. Should we switch him to some other brand of formula? Or give him cows milk? Does nan1 have enough nutrition for him? we are worried he might be a little under-weight.

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic.

If the rash developed immediately after the introduction of Nan 2, then the rash can be attributed to an allergic reaction to Nan2.

But if it is developed after some days it could not be due to this formula.

Other causes of rash should be looked into.

I advise you to consult your pediatrician for the detailed review of his feeding history and to correlate the onset of rash with all possibilities and to advise you regarding on feeding and medication for rash.

Hope I have answered your query.

Regards.
