8 Month Old Ear Wax Running Out Of The Ear. Have Cold And Cough. Treatment?

Hi My 8 month old daughter has runny ear wax coming out of her ear today. I wipe it and then a while later it is there again. She has a cold at the moment which is in its latter stages and has had a cough for 7 weeks which the drs say is just spit collecting in her throat . please can you tell me why her ear wax is like that and is there anything i can put in her ears to help? Thanks Kate

I don't think it is wax since wax doesn't flow like that from the ear, especially after cold and cough. It is most likely a serous or suppurative discharge from ear and it can be a serious thing. I suggest you immediately see an ENT specialist who will prescribe the right treatment for this condition. Thanks.

Are you sure it is wax? - wax is thick and unlikely to run out continuously, as you mention
Your description is highly suggestive of discharge - from middle ear infection
You consult n ENT doctor immediately - to rule out perforation of the ear drum; and to give proper treatment.
You don't put anything in the ear by yourself
