82 Yrs, Diabetic. Prescribed ReNerve Injection As Unable To Walk. Two Injections Per Week. Correct Dosage?
Good day to you doctor, My Father-in-law, 82 yrs, diabetic, has been prescribed ReNerve Injection 1000mcg/ml, as he was unable to walk. We could not ask the doctor abt the dosage. The pharmacist informed us that two injections per week i.e. one injection once in 4 days. Hope it is correct. with regards, Doris My email is: YYYY@YYYY
hello Doris, Good day to you too !! As per the history, your doctor has given injection to your father in law, the dosage for vitamins dont need much care, the care to be taken is how injections are being given !
The injections in buttocks are given in upper-outer quadrant, if buttocks are divided into 4 regions by imaginary lines. The other three areas are the red alert areas, which contain various nerves like sciatic nerve and other major venous plexus.
The dosage is mostly alternate days on average aged patients but his age is more so the doctor has advised for more days in between.
hope above info helped you ! regards, Dr Hari Om Chandrakar MBBS
