Hi,
Welcome to HCM,
Your grandfather is diabetic type II, his blood sugar is 194 mg/dl you have not mentioned this reading is fasting or Postprandial.
Eating problems due to long standing diabetes may be due to many causes like Gastroparesis, drug induced, any liver pathology.

Cypon is first generation antihistamine and to increase appetite has to be taken for long time. It causes drowsiness Dizziness,Blurred vision,Constipation, Dry Mouth, throat, or nose,Excitability,Nausea,Nervousness
Restlessness.
First he should be examined and investigated for cause of difficulty in eating once cause is detected it can be treated accordingly.
Please take care
Good Luck
