9 Month Baby, Hard Lump On Top Of Nose. Is Doing X Ray Necessary?
Hello, my daughter is 9months old and she has a bump at the top of her nose between her eyebrows and I noticed it when she was about six months old just watched it carefully and just lately feels like it's bigger. Id say pea size. She hasn't hit her head right there at all and The bump feels real hard..I'm thinking about doing a X-ray because it makes me nervous. What could this be?
Hi, Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic. The bump may due to an underlying bone or subcutaneous tissue growth. Direct physical examination will give clue to the cause for the bump. Don't go directly for an X ray as it may be inconclusive and risk of exposure to radiation. First consult the pediatrician for clinical examination and if necessary then go for investigation. Hope I have answered your query. Regards.
