9 Weeks Old Baby Born Prematurely Currently Weighing 2.1 Kgs. Weight Improving After Giving Nusobee Powder. Continue It?
My son 9 weeks old now and he was 34 weeks premature with a birth weight of 1.7kgs when born.
He reach the weight of 1.9 kgs fine in 3 weeks, but last 5 weeks his weight growth is very poor.
Now he is 2.1 kgs only.(200grams in 5 weeks).
Previously we use Dexolac for premeture baby (4 to 5 times per DAY/ each 60 ml).
Now doctor changed the formula to Nusobee soya based powder.Now we are using it.
Now we can see some improvements and not much vomiting / no cry while going motion, previosly these things will happen.
So can we continue this soya based powder and do I need any test which help us to improve his weight.
Normally how much gain per day will happen for my child, which is good range ?
Can I start using ragi kind of food..now ?
I am much worried about his weight and poor growth. Kindly suggest...

Your baby is doing well and picking up weight with Nusobee, better continue the same.
Ragi etc., can not be given now.
They will be given only when he is 6 months old.
babies normally put up 30 gms/day during first 3months starting from15th day.
Next 3months they put up 20 grams/day.
Normally they reach double the birth weight at the end of 5th month.
