9 Year Old With Abdominal Pain, Vomiting, Rashes On The Legs. Cause?

My child aged 9 years getting stomach pain since three days(24.05.13). The Pain is occassional, lasting for 1 to 3 minits. Remainig time she is normal. No motions, on the day of pain noticed 3 times vomitted. Normal stool, normal intake.On doctor advice, she was administered PAN 20 and antacid gel, later MEPATAL 125 mg three times. Last nigt at 2 AM she got rashes on herl legs with itching and lasted for 1 hour.

Hi,

Thank you for your query.

The rash which appeared in your daughter's leg for an hour seem to be urticaria by the description. As she is having abdominal pain I suggest that you get her examined by a doctor and get the following investigations done:
1. Ultrasound whole abdomen
2. Stool routine
3. Haemogram including absolute eosinophil count.
These investigations shall assist in coming to a diagnosis.
