Abdominal Period Like Cramps, Pink Discharge, Having Early Period. What Is Going On?
Hi, my name is Sarah. And, I'm concerned with my menstrual period blood consistency and it's early date of arrival. My last period was around June 27th. And..I started having abdominal cramps that felt like normal period cramps but only along my right side. Today..I use the restroom and the toilet water is pink. I inserted a tampon and while taking it out the blood is a brownish color and a gooey consistency. The cramps are now a bit more painful and have spread through my entire lower stomach region where I normally experience period cramps. Can you tell me why? Is this normal? Should I be worried?
Early periods are not uncommon among women and you should not be concerned. From all the information you have provided, treat the symptoms and pains as your normal menses. If the pains or bleeding should be out of proportion with previous cycles in terms of intensity, then you may consider seeing a physician for that. For now, stay put and watch.
