Abnormal Bleeding From Clitoris. Pap Smear Shows Abnormal Cells On Vagina. HPV?

I have had some abnormal bleeding for months from my clitorus. I just had a Pap smear and was told today the test showed abnormal cells on my vaginal wall. I have been dating someone since April 1 but had this bleeding prior to dating. Is there a connection between the bleeding and hpv? My email address is YYYY@YYYY . Thank you. Sorry I have a doctors appt on October 15 and will wait until then for an answer.

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The abnormal cells seen on the PAP smear are likely to be due to chronic inflammation or dysplasia. This can be associated with HPV infection. The treatment depends upon the pap report.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
