Admitted In The ICU For Pneumonia. X-ray Shows Visibility Only In Some Places. Advised In Sepsis State Now. Oxygen Support. Suggestions?

Hi Doctor, my Brother is in ICU for getting treated for pneumonia. As per Xray, only some portion of lungs are visible in dark (about 15%) and rest of the portions are not visible. Doctors say he is in sepsis state now. his breathing rate is 27times/min, BP is normal and is passing urine comfortably. Doctors say he might get exhausted and may have to be supported using ventilator. He is currently supported by forced oxygen. Doctors however are saying that he has slightly improved in breathing. I am a worried person now. how would he be able to overcome this condition?

Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
Since your brother is in I C U and mere mentioning , that he is having peumonia is not a proper diagnosis.
Right lung having three lobes, while left two .
Which lung has effected or both or parts.
If possible please upload the X ray over this site so that a proper diagnosis could be assessed.
Good luck.
Dr.Het.
