After Having A Vasectomy Noticed Weight Gain

I had a vasectomy last Thanksgiving, shortly after I started the healing process I started to gain weight to the point of almost 30 LBS in about 2 months. I have changed my eating habits and everything. What can I do? I still have problems with my left side and had it checked out and the Doc said it was due to a leak. I had antibiotics for it but I still have the same problem. what can I do?
