Am I Having Thyroid Problem?

My right thyroid lobe was removed after the birth of my first child when I was 26. I am currently 57 and never required thyroid medication. I have it checked every year during my physical. However, over the last two years, my thyroid test will be out of the normal range during the routine bloodwork, and then upon recheck three months later, be back in normal range. My hair is thin and I am tired. Do I need to see a specialist?

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
You have history of right lobectomy. Now your blood work thyroid is fluctuating out side the range. So you may have some thyroid problem. You should check your T3, T4 and TSH level. If it comes out of range then you should consult endocrinologist once. Then plan accordingly.
Hope I have answered your question. If you have any doubts then feel free to ask me. I will be happy to answer.
Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
