Hello and thank you for asking HCM.

I have read your symptom and i understand your concern. UTI has many symptoms and one of those symptoms is pain in the lower abdominal part,in pelvic region (usually in cystitis, infection of the bladder)

Having this symptom doesn't mean its something more severe, because almost all the patients with cystitis have this symptom.

I suggest you do an urine test to confirm the diagnosis of UTI and use ibuprofen for the pain. If the test is positive your family doctor/physician needs to start you on antibiotics since you have a history of UTI.

Meanwhile i suggest you have plenty of fluids, fresh fruit juice, chamomile tea or rose tea, 1 or 2 cups each day. Don't hold your urine for long. Urinate always after having sex.

If you have any other question, feel free to contact me.
