Am I Suffering From Urinary Infection During Pregnancy?
hi. I m.13 weeks pregnant and a week before I had some spotting for that my doc gave me susten 200 twice n duvadilan retard 40 mg thrice a day.. after 2 days of medication I suffered from severe lower abdominal pain .then I went for ultrasound.my radiologist said that there is no prob wid ur baby.but may b.u hav urinary infection which is responsible for severe pain.for confirmation I had a urine test.which shows.
wbc 5-7, protein detected (traces), epithilial cell 20-30,bacteria detected (+)...
with this.report I.went.to 2 ganaeocologist.
doc no1.said the report is normal n prescribe me gudcef cv 200 for seven days.
doc no.2 said.its cystitis n.gave me alkasol syp,nitrofur for 3 days ..
my first question is am I.suffering from.urinary infection?
my second.qustn.is which doc to follow no.1 or no.2?
can u plz recommend any gaeno if u.know.at Bhopal.India.

Yes I believe you may have a form of mild urinary tract infection. You may follow doc 1 or doc 2 since they both prescribed antibiotics although different would work the same way. It is important to treat your UTI since it may affect your pregnancy and may cause preterm delivery of your baby.
