Hi Arshad,
Thanks for writing your query.
Anal fissure takes time to heal as it gets irritated whenever stool passes over it during defecation.
Treatment involves adding bulk to the stool and making it soft with
psyllium or methylcellulose.
Avoid food which are hard in nature like nuts, popcorn, and spicy foods.
Drink plenty of pure filtered water.
Seitz bath will be very helpful to you. For this take a tub filled with lukewarm water and sit in the tub so that your anal area is submerged in the water. Do this after you pass stool.
Medical treatment involves applying
local anaesthetic cream before defecating.
Moreover,
ointments with glycerin trinitrite(
Nitroglycerin ointments) are also beneficial in healing of anal fissure.
Usually it takes 4 to 6 weeks for complete healing.
I hope this information is helpful to you. If you have any furthur query, please ask me, I will be ready to help.
Thanks.
