Any Advice For Child's Eczema On Abdomen And Legs That Does Not Respond To Steroids?

I was told my 4 month old has eczema she is having some sort of flare up today... It looks like welted hives all over her abdomen and legs. Today she has been itching her belly like a mad women. I usually use aquaphore on her and 1% steroid cream behind her legs if they get bad. I put the steroid cream on her abdomen today ( I don t like to use it if I don t have to) but it s not helping. She screams when I put anything on it and every time I change her clothes she has more welts. She is exclusivly breastfed we only use clear and free detergent, no dryer sheets, only bathe her once every 3 days hardly use any soap but if I do I use dove sensitive. I don t know what else to do she is miserable when awake... Any advice?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,
Thank you for your query.
Try to maintain the hydration of skin by applying moisturizing lotion twice or thrice daily.
Apply steroid cream as advised by the doctor.
If there is signs of local bacterial infection of the skin it has to be treated by applying a local antibiotic cream.
Consult the doctor for physical examination.
Hope I have answered your query.
Regards.
