Any Other Treatment For High T3/T4 Level Other Than Radio Iodine Therapy In Hyperthyroid Patients? Are There Any Side Effects?

I have hyperthyroid from the past 10 years. my recent tests show high levels of T3 and T4 and my doctor has advised me to go for radioiodine therapy. i would like to know if it will have any side-effects considering i have thyroid for more than 10 yrs now..any other treatment ? or should i continue taking the tablets i have been taking(even though they r not making much difference seeing my high levels of t3/t4)?

I would like to say you that, more important is your clinical symptoms, if you are really good with the tab. which you are taking then keep it continue, the important is your health, if with the tab. your health is alright then why to go for Iodine (Radioactive) therapy, but if the medicine which you are taking is not effective then radioactive therapy of Iodine would be necessary, have nice day.
