Any Reason For Body Smelling Of Ammonia, Frequent Sweats With Being On Multiple Medications For Pain, Colon Problems, Going Through Menopause?
I am 64 and going through menopause. Sweats very frequent, quite overweight but never had body odor before. Now when I sweat and mop my face and neck with clean, cold washcloth it smells of ammonia. I am taking medications and supplements for fibro, chronic pain, anti-inflammatory meds, zantac, protonix, reglan for chronic stomach gastropareses, and well as colon problems. Through all this through the last 20+years I have never had a problem with odors. Help?
HI Thank for asking to HCM I can understand your problem, bad body odor is mainly genetic in origin, other several factors also plays the roles, and that is very complex things, here our aim would be how to deal with this, and first is hygienic care, changing life style and other habits, taking a long acting antibiotic may some times helps and the best drug for this is Doxycycline 100 mg once in a day for 15 days, use good quality body deodorant have regular bathe at least thrice in day, have nice day.
