Any Side Effects If I Take Adderall With Anesthesia?
I am having ACL reconstruction surgery at 7 am on thursday, undergoing general anesthesia. I am debating on whether to take an adderall tonight to help me stay up and study for an exam. The surgery is in about 17 hours... will there be any adverse effects with the anesthesia if I do take the adderall?

Hi,
Recent evidence has shown that there are no adverse effects on anesthesia in patients who are taking their normal dose of Adderall. I would not advise you to take an extra dose this close to your operation as you may have problems with your blood pressure during and after surgery.
