Any Suggestion For Child Suffering From Fever That Didn T Reduce With Panadol/ibugesic ?

hi, my son is 5 yrs and 10 months old he has been having fever since 8 hours ago of between 99 and 103. I have given panadol 7.5 and after 4 hours ibugesic 5 ml. The fever has not broken but is not very high around 98-99, should I continue with ibugesic or panadol. Thank you

Hi,
Thank you for asking question on health care magic.
for control of fever you may give
Tepid sponging frequently depending on the fever.
Either paracetamol or ibuprofen alone will do but I prefer paracetamol as often as 4-6 hours.
Viral fevers subside, but bacterial infections need antibiotic after consulting a doctor.
Hope this answer will serve your purpose
Please feel free to ask any more queries if required
Take care
