Hello and thank you for consulting HCM.

I understand your concerns and i will try to explain at my best what need to be done.

Your boyfriend is diagnosed with small kidneys and HBP. Probably they have told you that the BP is due to the small kidneys. What is mean is ,probably his kidneys don't work as they are suppose to,so your boyfriend has High blood pressure.

Healthy kidneys typically do not allow protein to pass from the blood into the urine. In proteinuria, however, the kidney’s filtering structures, called glomeruli, fail to block protein from entering the urine. If left untreated it can have serious complications.

Your bf need to check up with a nephrologist as soon as possible because proteinuria can suggest a chronic kidney disease (CKD). Left untreated, chronic kidney disease can lead to kidney failure (end-stage renal disease).

I understand that he has a good amount of urine, but since he has high creatinine level in blood, it's another sign that his kidneys are not working normally.

If you have any other question, please feel free to contact me.

Wish good health at your friend.
