Any Suggestion For Pain And Red Circle On Back Of Calf?

My son was hit on the back of his calf by a fastball this afternoon. There is a red circle where he was hit...not raised very much. But lots of pain when he walks tonight...or rather limps. Can't walk normally. Should we ice it? Thank you for your help.

This is called echymosis. This is quite common after soft tissue injuries and it can be treated with Ice application. Also he should be given Brufen 200 mg or according to his body weight. Let him do some rest also. Do not worry he will be fine in 2 to 3 days.
