Any Suggestion For Swelling And Bruising On Mouth After Hitting Jaw To Table?
My 8 yr old hit her jaw on a coffee table doing cartwheels. There was blood inside her mouth, but no open areas. I put ice on it for awhile. There is very little swelling or bruising. It has been a few hours now and she is complaining of a severe so throat. It hurts to chew, swallow and talk. Any ideas?

From history it seems that she might be having strain on TM joint muscles giving rise this problem.
Apply ice pack for 2-3 days.
Give her anti-inflammatory medicine like ibuprofen for 2-3 days.
Avoid chewing hard stuff and avoid wide opening of her mouth.
Ok and take care.
