Are Letrozole And Naturogest Effective For Getting Pregnant?

Hi Doctor! I m 36 years old. I m trying to conceive. My gynecologist has prescibed me Letrozole tablets to be taken from the 2nd day of my periods for 5 days and she has also prescribed me Naturogest 200 to be taken from the 20th day of my periods. Can I know whether I m taking the correct medicines.

I understand your concern.
Letrozole is being used commonly as an infertility treatment. It belongs to a group of medicines called aromatase inhibitors. Letrozole tablets reduces the amount of oestrogen by blocking an enzyme “aromatase”. It is commonly used as a hormonal breast cancer treatment.
In addition, it may also be useful in cases of difficulty in conceiving as it can induce egg to develop and be released in women who are not ovulating properly on their own.
Naturogest tablet contains progesterone and helps in supporting pregnancy if it happens.
Kindly take the tablet as prescribed.
