Are Abdominal Bloating, Flatulence And Pain Around The Navel Symptoms Of A Hernia?

Two days ago,I started with bloating, flatulence and mild pain in my abdominal area around my bellybutton. I’ve thought for a while that I may have an umbilical hernia. The bloating has subsided some (some still present, I’ve had bowel movements but when I press down in area above belly button, I have pain. No fever, no vomiting or diarrhea. Could these symptoms be due to a hernia? If so, what type of doctor should I see?

First of all, you could see your own general practitioner.
Alternatively, you could see a general surgeon.
