Are Blood Thinners Advisable While On Synthyroid?

I am currently on synthroid .75 mg per day for many years I am about to switch to we thyroid 48.75 I take cod liver oil or other fish oil on a regular basis for many years now I am just now reading about warnings for taking blood thinners with thyroid Med. Is my risk any greater now that I am switching from synthroid to we thyroid, or am I basically in the same position as I was when on the synthroid?

When these two medicines are taken together, thyroid may decrease the amount of blood-thinner that your body needs. The effect of the blood-thinner may increase. You may experience an increased chance for bleeding, from your gums, nosebleeds, unusual bruising, or dark stools. If you stop taking your thyroid, you could have an increased risk of clots. Please consult your doctor, who can do the necessary investigations like clotting and bleeding time, and provide necessary advise.
