Are Diarrhea And Stomach Pain Normal After Taking Macrobid?
I was on macrobid for 7 days (1 capsule twice a day) for a uti. Last dose was yesterday evening. Last night I had diarrhea and stomach pains that are continuing today. No fever, no nausea or vomiting. Is this a normal side effect and if so how long does macrobid stay in your system?

Thank you for posting your query in HCM. I had gone through your question I understand your concerns. My opinion is that you should not be worried much because this drug, macrobid has gastrointestinal intolerance that cause stomach pain and diarrhoea. If i were your treating doctor i wolud advise you to take pain killers like paracetamol and loperamide for diarrhoea.
