Are Ethambutol And Pyrazinamide Safe To Control Potts Spine?

72/M, HEIGHT 5 10 gastritis chronic. diagnosed potts spine on march11.ATT started but now only on rifampcin and isonizid bcoz since last 2 months LFT started to increase. My blood report of today gives ESR 27 & CRP 2.4. SGPT 31. SHOULD I TAKE ETHAMBUTOL N PYRAZINAMIDE TO CONTROL THE INFECTION ? but i feared bcoz bld report of 2nd august gives SGPT 72?

Hi,

Now, the SGPT is normal. So, you should be able to take the anti-TB drugs which were stopped due to liver toxicity. However, it should be started at a lower dose and gradually escalated. Check with you treating doctor for more details.
