Are Exercises Advisable For Abdominal Pain?

Hello, I had exploratory abdominal laparotomy 4 months ago and my incision is around 16 centimeters. Anyways, I thin my stomach muscles are pretty weak now. Is it advisable to excersise for abdominal muscles and can I workout - sit-ups, push-ups aond weight lifting or it's not advisable. Thanks alot in advance.:)
